Privacy Policy
What happens to your information when you visit reviewzlocker.com or contact us.
This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit reviewzlocker.com or contact us. It describes what this site actually does, not what a site of this kind might do.
Who we are
reviewzlocker.com is operated by Zillion Services LLC, 1500 Champlain Crest Way, Cary, NC 27513, United States. We are responsible for the information described here. You can reach us at support@reviewzlocker.com.
What we collect
You can read every guide on this site without giving us anything. We do not require an account, and there is nothing to sign up for in order to read.
If you leave a comment on a guide, we receive the name and email address you enter, your comment, and your IP address and browser user agent string. WordPress collects these to publish the comment and to help detect spam. Your email address is not published.
If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to send: your name, your email address, and the content of your message. We use it to answer you.
If you sign up for our newsletter, we store the email address you enter, together with the page you signed up from and the date. Depending on which signup box you use, that address is held either on this website or by Klaviyo, our email provider. We use it to send you the newsletter you asked for and nothing else.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which record IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested. These are generated automatically for security and reliability, and we do not use them to identify individuals.
Cookies
The site sets functional cookies used by WordPress and by our caching layer, so that pages load correctly and so an administrator stays signed in. If you are not signed in as an administrator, these do not identify you.
If you leave a comment, WordPress may set cookies storing the name, email address and website you entered, so you do not have to type them again next time. These last about a year and you can decline them by clearing cookies for this site.
When you accept cookies, we load Klaviyo, the service that runs our email signup. Klaviyo sets cookies in your browser so it can recognise a returning visitor and avoid showing the signup box to someone who has already subscribed or dismissed it. Klaviyo acts as our provider and handles that data under its own privacy policy.
Nothing from Klaviyo loads until you choose “Accept all” on the cookie banner. If you choose “Necessary only”, no Klaviyo script is loaded and no Klaviyo cookie is set. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” button in the corner of any page.
We run no advertising pixels, no retargeting tags and no session-recording tools. If that changes we will say so on this page before it goes live.
Affiliate links
Where we publish an affiliate link, following it may set a cookie belonging to the merchant or their affiliate network, so that a resulting sale can be credited to us. That cookie is set and read by them, under their own privacy policy, not ours. It records the referral, not who you are, and it does not change the price you pay.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. It reaches other parties only where it must: our hosting provider, which stores the site and its logs; our email provider, which carries messages you send us; Klaviyo, which stores newsletter subscriptions and sends the newsletter on our behalf; and, where affiliate links are in use, the affiliate network, which receives referral data about transactions rather than about you personally. We also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so that follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically rather than held in a queue. Correspondence is kept while there is a live enquiry, and then for as long as we need it for tax and legal record-keeping. Server logs are kept for a short period by our host and then overwritten. Ask us to delete your comment or your correspondence and we will, unless we are obliged to keep it.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area you have these rights under the GDPR, and you may complain to your national data protection authority. Residents of several US states, including California, have comparable rights. Write to support@reviewzlocker.com and we will respond.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version appears on this page. Material changes to what we collect will be described here rather than made quietly.
